Improving knowledge about opioid medications and attitudes towards patients with addiction is essential to ensuring proper prescribing of prescription opioids. This poster presents our work with creating and evaluating a web-based training program for primary care providers on the proper way to safely and appropriately prescribe opioid medications for pain. The interactive case-based learning experience alters practice behavior and improves clinical decision making via patient case scenarios.
