Brain Exploration provides a first-person perspective of the brain. Players will be able to investigate brain structures, experience pathway activation, and create a true representation of the brain in their own minds.
Brain research is yielding novel insights and detailed understanding of brain circuitry and neurochemistry. Medical students need an understanding of neurobiology and recent advances to develop their understanding of addiction as a brain disease. However, developing a mental map of the brain’s complex network of structures and neural pathways is challenging. Having to construct their understanding from two-dimensional images of three-dimensional models often results in limited and incomplete understanding. This project builds a unique, immersive 3D brain experience in VR that helps medical students develop a robust understanding of complex spatial relations and the role of neurotransmitters.
