Karen Rossie, DDS, MS, PHD

Research Scientist

Dr. Rossie brings a diverse background in oral medicine, pathology, psychology, and health professional education to CTI. She served as Principal Investigator on a Phase I SBIR project related to training medical students in pain and addiction and has led or contributed to multiple other CTI projects for training health professionals and students in pain management, motivational interviewing, brief interventions for substance abuse, and treatment of obesity, opioid addiction, alcohol use disorder, and tobacco cessation. She writes content and works with the team to design serious games for professionals on entrepreneurship for women scientists and avoiding burnout.

Dr. Rossie is interested in health, positive psychology, the psychology of games, and advances in medicine and loves dancing, being with family, murder mysteries, music, and a variety of outdoor activities.
